Below are some pieces of wisdom God’s dropped on me over the past eleven months…

You have the strength to do beyond what you could ever imagine because your source is infinite in grace and says you’re infinite in value.

Perfect love casts out all fear. We have the opportunity to live in that love and worship Him from that place always.

You have to embrace the ugly cries to be a part of the beautiful tears.

Following Him costs a lot. But when you finally pay, whether it’s in comfort, security, wealth etc, the pocket of your soul has more room for Him, His love and His provision.

His love demands it all without demanding at all.

For the one who is truly in Christ’s care no difficulty can arise, no dilemma emerge, no seeming disaster descend on their life without eventual good coming out of the chaos.

Press in. Pursue what He’s put in you, chase it because it’s good. He will redirect you and close doors if needed.

Scripture paints a picture of His love for us.

Conviction highlights what is NOT me and what does NOT belong.

We continue into uncharted territory alongside our freedom and what we’re free from because He is boundless, therefore so is the freedom He offers us, it truly does not end.

Everything about God is “too good to be true” because, by our definition, it is, but that’s now how he defines it. Embrace the “too good to be true” because it always was and forever will be.

Jesus tells Phillip he has seen the father because he’s seen Jesus, in the same way others see and know Christ when they meet those with His Spirit.

He would die just to spend time with you…and He did.

Comfort zones can all too easily become jail cells.

God is an independent variable. God is THE independent variable. Therefore all which flows from Him is not dependent on circumstances. Period.

Don’t try to cling to your future when you know so little of what it looks like. Son, MY TIMELINE IS PERFECT! What it seems like to you isn’t really relevant because you can’t see anything.

Freedom isn’t the absence of boundaries, it’s the ability to fulfill created intent.

He’s faithful even when we don’t necessarily want Him to be.

It’s rarely easy, but it’s ALWAYS simple.

Even when He takes, He gives. He IS the giver of life.

A “yes” to the Lord always leads to a bigger “yes”.

Love isn’t patient sometimes.

Excitement does not equal fulfillment and fulfillment is not dependent on excitement.

When recognizing or evaluating “fear of man” in your life. Remember to include yourself in that equation. Especially if, like me, you’re forever your own harshest critic.

That Jesus man has no chill. Not now, not ever.

The things I thought were for sure “mine” never were. “My” testimony, “my” future children, “my” love, “my” life…it all belongs to Him. Even “my” gifts belong to Him. And just as He cares about me infinitely, (more than I could ever care about myself) He also cares about everything I have infinitely. His love (Jesus) is a love who can’t be outrun, can’t be undone, and can’t be bridled. It’s a love who saves us not just once, but every single day. It’s a love who relentlessly pursues every heart, long after salvation. It’s a love who has already redeemed and is redeeming every wrong to ever exist in our lives. It’s a love who restores the mistakes we’re making this very second, while we make them, before we ever even decided to stray. It’s a love who says “I know you’ve hurt me countless times already, and I know you’re going to hurt me countless more, I’ve seen it, yet I am staying right here, because you’re worth it.” It’s a love who looks at intentional and deliberate adultery, knowing it will happen again, with eyes of immediate compassion and forgiveness. It’s a love who completely envelopes you even while you run the opposite direction. It’s a love who confirms every cliche about love is true. It’s a love who never folds His arms across His chest, but leaves them open wide, forever, for everyone.

I could go on forever about all the Lord has done on this journey…it’s been the most unbelievably incredible and challenging adventure of my entire life. God stretched and grew me in ways I never would’ve imagined and while surrounding me with the perfect collection of His children to walk alongside me, fight for me, love me, comfort me, encourage me, and push me in ways I had no idea I needed. He proved, over and over again, He is faithful and He is for me. The craziest part is, He’s not stopping. We’ve entered into a story where each chapter is better albeit different than the last…forever. His story. And we are all invited in. We have been since the beginning of time. There’s no requirements, no prerequisites, period. If there were I wouldn’t be here. It’s just a yes.

To those invested in all forms and fashions, past present and future, even those simply asking a question which gives me space to talk about the mesmerizing love of Jesus: thank you, from the bottom of my puddle of a heart. I could use a million adjectives to describe this race, but above all I’d describe it the same as I could describe anything God is a part of…worth it.

Love Always,

Jordan Bryce Jost
